Visitors Info

Amidst a stunning coastline of rocky headlands and neighbouring the banks of the Hastings River estuary is the vibrant and unspoilt town of Port Macquarie. Offering a distinctive mix of heritage buildings, modern hotels and apartments, diverse dining, shopping and entertainment venues, Port Macquarie has much to offer.

Just 30 minutes south of Port Macquarie is Kendall and the villages and towns of the breathtaking Camden Haven with calm waterways, bountiful fishing and gorgeous national parks. Families, 4WD enthusiasts and fishermen especially enjoy the carefree village lifestyle of Camden Haven and families will love the choice of swimming spots from family friendly Pilot Beach to the crystal clear creek at Swans Crossing.

Wauchope (pronounced ‘war-hope’) sits west of Port Macquarie and the Pacific Highway and was once the mill for hinterland timber. Rich in history, Wauchope is the gateway to the Hinterland, with a natural wonderland of over 40,000 hectares of National Parks and State Forests – NSW’s best kept secret.

Comboyne, famous for it's dairy-farming village, is a half hour drive from Wauchope with open plateaus, lush farmland and rainforest pockets.  The road winds round towards Boorganna Nature Reserve, one of the oldest nature reserves in NSW.  A walking trail will take you to view the impressive Rawson Falls.  Further along the road, view Ellenborough Falls, a 200 metre single drop waterfall, the tallest in Australia.
